AVEN BIAS INDICATOR
A highly optimized trend-filtering indicator designed to isolate and define the daily directional bias for Emini S&P 500 futures.

Bias: Bullish ResolutionIntraday Bias Determination
Unlike the Cedar strategy, which is designed to identify exact entries and exit parameters, Aven specializes in **directional bias identification** on S&P 500 (/ES) futures. It helps traders avoid counter-trend trades by calculating buying/selling pressure waves and establishing a directional trend envelope.
Recommended Timeframe Settings:
- Intraday Signals: 30-minute timeframe is recommended to filter daily market waves.
- Short-Term Swings: 2-to-4 hour timeframe is recommended for multi-day swing direction.
How to interpret Aven:
- Blue Upward Triangles: Bullish bias confirmed. Focus strictly on long setups or long options spreads.
- Purple Downward Triangles: Bearish bias confirmed. Focus strictly on short futures entries or credit call spreads.
- No Triangles (Blank Zones): Neutral bias. The market is consolidating or compressing without a dominant trend. Exercise caution.
Data Feed Requirements
Aven requires real-time data feeds for S&P futures. This is available through broker accounts (e.g. AMP Futures).
If your broker does not link data directly to TradingView, a CME Globex real-time data subscription ($2/month) is required. Free TradingView profiles may require upgrades to add CME data.

No software installation requiredIndicator Settings & Parameters
The Aven indicator offers a set of user-configurable settings to fine-tune the sensitivity and visual output of the Force signals (indicated by the blue and purple triangles on your chart).
| Parameter | Default Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Force % | 20.0% | Force Sensitivity Threshold. Specifies the minimum percentage change in Force intensity required to register a significant shift over the configured time period. Lowering this percentage increases signal frequency (making the indicator more sensitive), while raising it restricts signals to only the most explosive momentum shifts. |
| Min Force Value | 20 | Minimum Force Magnitude. Sets the minimum absolute strength value required to trigger a Force Up or Force Down signal. This ensures that signals are supported by significant participation, filtering out minor moves that occur during quiet, low-activity periods. This value will vary significantly depending on the underlying asset. |
Beta Indicator Disclaimer & Updates
Aven is currently in closed beta testing, meaning updates and script optimizations will be rolled out frequently.
Mandatory steps to take on every indicator update/release:
- Refresh the script: You must remove the old indicator from your active TradingView chart and re-add it from your "Invite-only scripts" menu to load the latest changes.
- Re-configure alerts: When re-adding the script, any existing alert conditions linked to the old indicator instance will break. You must delete the old alerts and set them up again from the new script's settings menu.
